First Grade Continues Tradition of Donation to Sisters
Throughout the 2015-2016 school year, the first grade students at St. Michael Parish School, in Wheeling, W.Va., collected loose change for the Sisters of St. Joseph to be used for the needs of the congregation. Sister Carol Hannig, CSJ, Director of Community Life and Services for the Wheeling Center, visited the first graders to accept the children's donation, which totaled $209.15. This year’s first grade class has continued a tradition which began in 2007. Counting this year’s donation, the first graders have donated over $2,700 to the congregation. As a part of her visit, the students had the chance to ask Sister Carol a few questions about her vocation and about how she decided to "become a sister." Congratulations and THANK YOU to the first grade class at St. Michael Parish School!
