The Congregation of St. Joseph believes in and respects the God-given dignity of all life. This belief impels us to work to end the use of the death penalty. We hold the sorrow of all victims of violence and their families, acknowledge their trauma, and uphold restorative justice approaches to repair relationships, honor dignity, seek healing and enable transformation.
This September, we join Pope Francis and Catholic Mobilizing Network in praying for an end to the death penalty. Watch the Pope’s video below, then click here to learn more ways you can stand against the death penalty.
