Reflection
“you are not lacking in any spiritual gift” 1Cor 1:17
Our preparation for Christmas includes finding the right gift for our loved ones. We use
our knowledge and understanding of the people on our list to get or make a gift that is
meaningful.
Paul tells us that we are not lacking in any spiritual gift. We have no need to go to the
store or shop on-line for the gifts that we need in order to prepare ourselves for the
Incarnation of God’s Great Love at Christmas. Those gifts are already inside of us. Our
Advent preparation calls for us to find and develop those gifts in order to present them
at the crib.
Prayer
Good and gracious God,
may I be open to hear what spiritual gift you are calling me to open up during this holy
season of Advent.
Personal Challenge
Identify places where you can offer your spiritual gifts to those in need.
