Service Opportunities


This fall, we will once again be offering opportunities to unite our hearts to love and serve our dear neighbors in celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the Sisters of St. Joseph!

The following locations are looking for your support and donations.


LaGrange Park:

Friday, Oct 14th

CAMPUS CLEAN-UP (Nazareth Academy)
Time: 3:15-4:30 pm

Saturday, Oct 15

FOOD PANTRY DRIVE-THRU Drop Off (Nazareth Academy Front Entrance)
9:45 am-11:00 am and 10:45 am-12:00 pm

9:45 am-11:00 am
10:45 am-Noon

ST. JAMES FARM (2942 South Wabash – Chicago)
10:00 am-Noon

9:30-11:30 am

Saturday, Oct. 8th

DONATION DROPOFF (2929 Nazareth Rd., Kalamazoo, MI 49048)
10:00am – 2:00PM

We invite you to join us as we together reach out to our Kalamazoo neighbors in need.
Sisters and Associates will be in the Nazareth Parking Lot under the carport in the front parking lot with boxes to receive your donations.

donations of new men and women’s underwear, travel size toiletries for Ministry with Community
Non–perishable food items for Loaves and Fishes
Monetary Donations for-Kalamazoo Valley Gleaners


Saturday, October 15th

Collection of Personal Care Products (3430 Rocky River Drive – at the main door of St. Joseph Center)
10:00am – 12:00PM

We will be collecting personal care products to donate to West Side Catholic Center and St. Herman’s House of Hospitality
Collecting: Washcloths Travel Size Toiletries: Toothpaste Toothbrushes Shampoo Conditioner Soap Body Wash Deodorant Lotion Combs Disposable Razors. Gift Cards to Amazon or Target and cash donations will also be accepted.


The Metro Detroit Area:

Sunday, October 16

Donation Drop Off (Drop off at Sr. Mary Ann Wyllie’s house, 29230 Boston Street, St. Clair Shores)

Donations are being accepted for the Hispanic ministry of La Casa Guadalupana

Items needed (all quantities accepted):
Copy paper
Paper towels
Antiseptic Wipes
Trash Bags – gallon size or kitchen basket size
Gift Card Donations from Meijer, Target, Office Depot/Office Max are also welcome.
Please bring to drop off
or mail your gift card donations to Sr. Marie Benzing, 517 West Goldengate , Detroit, MI 48203

If you’re unable to drop off your donations on October 16, please contact Angie Michelini or Marie Benzing, and we will arrange a pickup.


New Orleans:

Saturday Oct 15th

Assembling Hygiene Kits for people who are homeless (Harry Thompson Center – Rebuild Center 1803 Granier Street)
10am – 12 Noon

Collecting/purchasing with donations – travel size toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and toothbrushes and assembling them at the Center .

Saturday, October 15

Sisters and volunteers will deliver dessert items to the Wheeling Soup Kitchen; deliver support handwritten notes to Liza Place (Hospice)

Dear Neighbor Knitters making items for children at ABLE Families, Mingo, Co. WV.

Volunteers will be helping with garden clean-up and repairs at St. Joseph Retreat Center.
9:00 – 12:00 Noon
