Reflection

“This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about.” Matthew 1:18

This is how God came among us.
An angel appeared to a young girl named Mary and told her she would bear a son through the power of the Holy Spirit. Mary did not understand, but she said yes.
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. Matthew 1:18
This is how God came among us.

Mary told Joseph what had happened, and then went off to visit her cousin Elizabeth, leaving Joseph to consider what she told him. He had decided to divorce her quietly, when an angel appeared to him in a dream, telling him, “Have no fear about taking Mary as your wife. It is by the Holy Spirit that she has conceived this child.” Joseph did not understand, but he did what the angel told him.
This is how the birth of Jesus Christ came about. Matthew 1:18
This is how God came among us.

Each of us is a presence of God in the world. Angels come and go.
Sometimes we hear their message, sometimes we don’t,
but always we try to say YES.
This is how God comes among us.

Prayer

Emmanuel—God with us—help us to see with your eyes,
hear with your ears.
Help us to love like you. Help us to be your presence in the world.

Personal Challenge

Walk the world with Christ.
